“If we experienced life through the eyes of a child, everything would be magical and extraordinary. Let our curiosity, adventure and wonder of life never end.”

Life Through The Eyes of a Child.
Have you ever noticed at a certain age we stop playing and become more attuned to responsibilities and to things that need to get done?
If you have the chance to watch or be with a child, you will notice the authenticity, vulnerability, laughter, tears and pure joy that they seem to be able to freely indulge in. Being in the presence of a child gives you the ability to be more present: watching them interact, listen to their conversations, laugh at their humour and most of all, deeply involved in their play.
As an adult, if we can manage to incorporate this child-like behaviour into our daily lives: we can learn to live more from the heart. When we live more from our heart, it allows us to truly feel our emotions, and to be able to connect with each other. Children emotionally connect through play. The older we get, the more analytical we become and as this happens, our ability to form relationships become more challenging.
What is it that makes children be able to successfully connect in their relationships?
Experiences together brings us quality time and moments to remember. Sharing laughter and tears gives us a sense of heart to heart connection. What children naturally embrace is being in the moment and not having another care in the world when they are completely engaged. Adults, on the other hand, have a difficult time focusing on the matters in the present.
There are so many distractions with technology and we can quite easily become over loaded. What we need to do to connect us all on an emotional level is share our thoughts, words and experiences.
Understanding one another will allow us to let go and be organically together.
If adults can learn to relax a little bit, they can learn to let go and not want to control all aspects in life, they will then be able to have a new found sense of freedom. Thus bringing back a sense of play, experience, engaged listening and understanding. Then we will be able to bring a sense of true heartfelt relationships, all through the eyes, mind and heart of a child.

Stop and Smell the Flowers – Literally, Stop and smell the flowers! We are so busy with to do lists and hustle and bustle we do not stop to enjoy the beautiful wonders of the world! Not only can smelling the flowers be wonderful for the senses it can be great for stress relief!
Take the Time to Enjoy something your child finds fascinating – Have you ever watched a toddler just open and shut the door over and over or watch a child appreciate the same beautiful book over and over. They find these things fascinating and love learning about how even the smallest things work.
Make a point to use your 5 senses each day with intention. Smell, Touch, Hearing, Taste, and Sight! Children are so curious about their world and when they want to learn about it, they do it through their senses.
Laugh more – They say by the time a child reaches 9 years old, their laughing cuts down by half. Work on finding things that make you laugh and choose joy!
Don’t sweat the small stuff –Let the small stuff go, we spend far too much time worrying about things that really don’t matter. Ask yourself is this really going to matter next year, 5 years from now and so forth! This helps you evaluate what is important and what is not.
