Nimi has been in the childcare industry since 2009 and hold a bachelor’s degree in teaching and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I joined the Inspira Family in 2013 and have taken on various roles, including Room Leader, Assistant Centre Manager, Centre Manager, Senior Centre Manager and now Operations Manager. I am also assisting the Sydenham Centre as Acting Centre Manager in addition to my main role.
Throughout my career, I have been passionate about building meaningful relationships with all the families who come through our doors. I believe in nurturing each child's unique potential and providing an environment where they can thrive. As Maria Montessori said, "The greatest sign of success for a teacher is to be able to say, 'The children are now working as if I did not exist.'"
My philosophy aligns with Lev Vygotsky's view that "Through others, we become ourselves." I strive to create an inclusive and engaging atmosphere where children can learn through collaboration and play. Inspired by Loris Malaguzzi, the founder of the Reggio Emilia approach, I believe "The wider the range of possibilities we offer children, the more intense will be their motivations and the richer their experiences."
I am committed to ensuring that every child receives the highest quality care and education. Reflecting John Dewey's belief that "Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself," I aim to create a nurturing and supportive environment for all.
